This year’s National Volleyball League in
During a technical committee convention that was held over the weekend, it was approved by FRVB and the various league club representatives that the league should be cut down in order to reduce the costs put in by the clubs.
The reasons for these changes were mainly based on consistent complaints from different clubs about the league being expensive for them to participate and also due to the fact that secondary schools were approaching their examination period and this may affect there performance both in the league and academics. So, for the few secondary school clubs in the league and with the Examination period around the corner, the students have to be given ample time to prepare for their exams.
â€In addition that, a number of clubs were complaining about the weekly costs of the league claiming that they were too high especially because it involved traveling and accommodation expenses out of Kigali,†the national volleyball team assistant coach Emmanuel Ndungutse said.
APR protected their fifth consecutive phase victory, having triumphed to a 3-1 set victory over Kigali Volleyball Club last Sunday, and are focused to safeguard their history as the only club to go through the entire league unbeaten.
