Comair airline based at Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa. It operates scheduled services on domestic trunk routes as an affiliate member of the Oneworld airline alliance and a British Airways franchisee, with hubs at Durban International Airport  and Cape Town International Airport.

Civair is a South African airline and helicopter charter operator with a base in Cape Town. The company’s core service is the operation of helicopter charters.

The airline started operating in 2004 as a low-cost or cheap airline with flights linking Cape Town and London Stansted, flying three times a week with a Boeing 747.

Civair Helicopters operates helicopter and fixed wing charter services, which is the major business of the organisation. Civair Airways Limited will soon operate an online international budget airline connecting various regions.

AirQuarius Aviation is a charter airline with its core base at Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. This airline handles air charters and aircraft leasing. It has contracts with airline companies in Africa and the Middle East, with a hub at Cape Town International Airport. AirQuarius crews operated the only commercial passenger service to Baghdad during the Second Gulf War.

Airlink is a privately owned South African based airline that has developed into South Africa’s first privately owned feeder network with an aim of linking the smaller towns, regional centers and hubs all over South Africa. It terminated its alliance with South African Express and South African Airways, though still maintains a number of co-operative agreements with these airlines.

1Time is a budget airline based in Kempton Park, Gauteng, Johannesburg, South Africa, Operating scheduled domestic flight services. Its core hub is Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, with minor hubs at East London Airport, Durban International Airport and Cape Town International Airport.

The name of the company, “one time”, is a South African expression meaning “for real”. The founders owned an aviation Holding company, Afrisource Holdings, through which they became owners of Aeronexus, an aviation company that offered various aircraft services. With the resultant decline in the aviation business making planes obtainable cheaply, they realised the prospect to establish a low-cost airline.

1Time airline started cheap airline ticket sales in 2004, and flights commenced a month after, with three daily return flights between Cape Town International Airport and Johannesburg airport. Currently, the airline provides flight services to destinations including Durban, George, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg and East London.
